Some years back, a successful New York PR executive told me a story about a meeting he had with a recent college graduate who was looking to get into the business.
Love this one, Wayne. Despite Mr. Palmer's utterly unncessary quip about your handwriting which though not wrong in any way needn't have been written down (in a text!) and I trust did not wound.
I have thank you notes from parents of children I taught in a special drawer. I saved them for those times I needed a boost. They are always a sweet reminder of gratitude received.
This is such a wonderful reminder, Wayne. I, too, have gotten really lax in my note-writing efforts recently. I am now more motivated to up my game (but not beat myself up for past failures)!
A great reminder of how a few minutes of your time can bring a smile to someone’s face. I recently received an unexpected thank you note from my great niece, and I smile every time I see it on the table. It matters.
My handwriting is the best excuse I have for not writing those things. But I am glad you got it. Our son Sean and his fiance were marveling at your woodworking skill just yesterday. Be well, Yo.
Thanks for the reinforcement, Wayne. In our hyper speed society, taking a moment to express appreciation means even more. Going out to by some cards today (you may get one) :>)

Love this story, Terry.

No beating yourself up, Brooke. Not allowed. It could lead to jail time. xo

It is so true, Margaret. Thanks for reading, and writing.
Sending a written thank you note was drummed into me and my sisters at a young age. I can’t imagine not sending one!
Good for you. It was semi-drummed into me as a kid, but clearly not enough. Thanks for reading, and writing.
I was a recipient of a Coffey thank you note and it was very appreciated, if somewhat hard to decipher (sorry, Frank made me say that)
