Beautiful...great piece...and it reinforces what I know now, that happiness is a feeling inside and should not be measured as a component of cognitive ability. You can have one even with limitations on the other...

But you said it better...a good story always will...

For 6 years my mom lived with severe dementia . She was a diehard Yankee fan and just putting on a game new or archived always made her happy…

A beautiful story and well written! I.m lucky that my parents did not suffer from dementia but a

dear friend had both parents who were affected. She spent years helping , supporting and loving her parents thru this horrible disease. Your article will inspire and give comfort to those who are in the process of doing like wise.

Your story brought me such tears of joy as I remembered going to games or watching on TV with my Mom as she battled dementia for several years. The picture of Denise with her Mom is priceless. Thank you for sharing.
